Ordering/ Shipments:
- Orders need to be called, faxed, or e-mailed in at least 72 hours prior to shipment with one week advance notice on custom mixes.

- Loading hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Office hours are from 7:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- You are welcome to have Volkman Seed Factory deliver to you, pick up yourself, or use a private carrier.
- All customer pickups need to be placed 48 hours in advance.
- All delivered orders need to be in by 10:00 a.m. a minimum of 72 hours prior to your delivery day.
- Add ons are welcome, and need to be called in by 10:00 a.m. the day prior to shipment so we can insure they get on the truck.
- Trucks are filled on a first come, first serve basis. There are weight limits in the state of California, and it’s against the law to go over this weight. The fines are steep.
- We do not price freight into our products; it is added depending on your distance from Volkman Seed Factory. There is a $6.00/pallet added freight charge for under a 3 pallet delivery.
- Fuel sur-charges are calculated using the California average price of diesel fuel. This is calculated using your base pallet freight price.
- Product is shipped 40 x 48 wood pallets/ slip sheets/shrink wrapped. All pallets will vary based on type and or density of product that doesn’t exceed 2250#.
- If shipments are refused or undeliverable on day of scheduled delivery, shipment will be subject to a re-stocking fee and freight charges in both directions.
- Cancelations require a 24 hour notice prior to your scheduled delivery.
- There will be a $40.00/hour demurrage charge after 1 hour unloading time on deliveries.
- On all deliveries, for insurance and liability purposes, Volkman Seed Factory is not responsible for placing product in the customer’s storage facilities.
- We cannot guarantee a delivery time on shipments, although you can request that the driver call en-route to give you his ETA.
